Singer-songwriter Trent Cowie blends Texas country roots with rock’s rebellious spirit to create heartfelt, relatable anthems.

Originally from Magnolia, Texas, Trent has been captivated by storytelling since his grade school years. Inspired early on by his grandmother’s piano, Trent learned to turn stories into songs, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for music. Introduced to music through church and raised in a family where tunes were always playing, it didn’t take long for him to fall in love with country music.

In high school, Trent expanded his musical horizons, teaching himself guitar and diving into the world of rock music. His inspirations come from everywhere—he draws from old-school country and 2000s rock, but his creative process is far from traditional. Instead of listening to country music to write a country song, Trent finds inspiration in the unexpected, often exploring other genres to fuel his creativity. When inspiration strikes, he can’t stop until the song is written.

Described as “hard country,” Trent’s music sits in a unique groove between traditional country and rock, blending the best of both worlds. After years working in the oil fields of West Texas while playing gigs on the side, Trent fully committed to pursuing his musical dreams and hasn’t looked back since.

Over the years, Trent has opened for country legends like Tracy Lawrence, Pat Greene, and Roger Creager, and has performed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Hideout in both 2023 and 2024.

In 2024, Trent released his latest CD, Checking Boxes and Crossing Lines. The seven-song album is packed with attitude and variety. From the high-energy anthem A.W.O.T.W—a working man’s anthem about cutting loose after a hard week—to a heartfelt acoustic tribute to his mother, the record offers something for every mood. It’s a collection that Trent is especially proud of, with a little something for everyone.
